The shape of week 10
6 games between ranked teams sit on the week 10 schedule, which runs from November 3 to November 7. The games below are the ones that can change the order at the top of the season; for each, this page sets out the schedule facts and the form both teams bring. It contains no line, no price and no selection.

The games
Miami vs Notre Dame
No. 4 Notre Dame (7-1) and No. 1 Miami (8-0) meet on Saturday, November 7, 7:30 p.m. ET. This is a non-conference game. Miami beat North Carolina 38–35 in week 9; Notre Dame beat Navy 35–13 in week 9.
Why it matters: Miami is No. 1 in the AP poll and Notre Dame is No. 4. Wins over ranked opponents are the evidence that keeps a team that high, and this game offers exactly that.
BYU vs Utah
Kickoff is Saturday, November 7, noon ET, No. 7 BYU (7-1) against No. 3 Utah (8-0). The NCAA scoreboard lists it as a Big 12 game. BYU beat Arizona State 27–20 in week 9; Utah beat Cincinnati 49–25 in week 9.
Why it matters: It is a meeting of ranked Big 12 teams, so the result counts twice: in the national order and in the Big 12 standings, where head-to-head results are among the first things used to separate teams with the same record.
Georgia vs Ole Miss
No. 2 Georgia (7-1) plays No. 12 Ole Miss (6-2) on Saturday, November 7, 7:30 p.m. ET. It is an SEC game. Georgia beat Florida 27–8 in week 9; Ole Miss beat Auburn 45–15 in week 9.
Why it matters: The poll puts 10 places between them. For Ole Miss, it is a chance to beat a team ranked well above it; for Georgia, a loss to a team ranked that far below is the kind of result voters punish hardest.
Alabama vs LSU
No. 15 LSU (6-2) and No. 9 Alabama (6-2) meet on Saturday, November 7, 3:30 p.m. ET. This is an SEC game. Alabama did not play in week 9; LSU did not play in week 9.
Why it matters: Only one of two ranked teams can leave with the win. For LSU, it is a game against a higher-ranked team; for Alabama, a chance to confirm its place against one of the few opponents ranked near it.
Kentucky vs Tennessee
Kickoff is Saturday, November 7, 6:15 p.m. ET, No. 8 Kentucky (7-1) against No. 16 Tennessee (6-2). The NCAA scoreboard lists it as an SEC game. Kentucky did not play in week 9; Tennessee did not play in week 9.
Why it matters: Two ranked teams, one result: a direct comparison that voters do not have to infer from other opponents, which is why games like this move a poll more than any other kind.
Texas vs Missouri
No. 10 Texas (6-2) plays No. 19 Missouri (6-2) on Saturday, November 7, noon ET. It is an SEC game. Texas beat Mississippi State 31–3 in week 9; Missouri beat Arkansas 34–10 in week 9.
Why it matters: Whatever happens, one team adds a win over a ranked opponent and the other a loss to one. For Missouri, ranked 9 places lower, the first would matter more.
UCLA vs Minnesota
Minnesota (5-3) and No. 5 UCLA (8-0) meet on Saturday, November 7, noon ET. This is a Big Ten game. UCLA beat Nevada 27–0 in week 9; Minnesota lost to Indiana 16–23 in week 9.
Why it matters: UCLA plays an unranked opponent. The game is on this list because of where UCLA stands: for a top-ten team, a loss to unranked opposition is the result that costs the most places in a media poll.
Rankings used here
Ranks on this page are the AP poll through games of October 31, 2026, as the NCAA’s rankings page publishes it, and they match the ranks the NCAA scoreboard shows for these games. Records are counted from the NCAA’s final scores and agree with the AP record column for every ranked team.
Playoff context
When this edition was prepared, the NCAA’s CFP rankings page did not yet carry a 2026 Selection Committee ranking. The ranks on this page are therefore the AP poll, a media vote that does not seed the playoff. This edition is refreshed once the committee’s ranking is published.
